Last night my little hairdresser told me a funny joke. But to understand it you have to know a little about China. You see, in China, some old people scam people by falling down, and when someone helps them up they accuse that person of pushing them and extort money (no presumed innocent here). Unfortunately that has led to people not helping elderly when they fall because they fear getting scammed.
So here’s the joke…
My little hairdresser told me that Santa wasn’t coming. “Why not?” I asked. “I’ve been good!”
And he said that he wasn’t coming because he fell down in Beijing and as he’s an old guy, nobody stopped to help him get up so he’s still stuck on the ground, waiting for someone to help him. But no one will so he’ll not get very far tonight.
Well, it made me laugh anyway.
