Happy Thanksgiving!! Check out our Feast!

Well, it might not look like much, but I am pretty darn thankful for it! A friend was kind enough to send us everything we would need to make our own thanksgiving dinner. (The non perishable version of course.) She sent us a few other things, like a can of pumpkin pie puree, but we don’t have a toaster oven yet, so we can’t cook ’em. It might sound silly, but I didn’t have any Thanksgiving food last year so I am really excited to have some stuffing and cranberry sauce.
For obvious reasons, Chinese don’t celebrate Thanksgiving. But the surprising thing is they don’t eat turkey. It’s nearly impossible to find and if you do, like at some import store in a big city, it is crazy expensive.  So canned will be good enough for us this year!
Fun fact: in Chinese the word turkey is translated as fire chicken.
This year I am grateful that I am living here in China, loving my job, and living the type of life I wanted to live. What are you grateful for?
