In the Snack Aisle

There are plenty of weird things in the snack aisle, but this is a new product that just began showing up everywhere. Of course I had to try it. I figure I’m a fan of the cucumber chips so why not?
The verdict? Not bad. The chips were nice and crispy. (Potato chips are a little different here, even the lay’s brand and they don’t have the same snap as chips back home.) It didn’t taste quite like tea, but it had a slight lemon flavor that wasn’t terrible, but also wasn’t the best. I’m not a fan or sour and savory flavors (like lemon chicken) and I prefer my chips salty, so I’m not sure I’ll buy it again. But I did finish the container.
Another potato chip fun fact: Lay’s is very popular here and the regular flavor called classic back home (which is just salted) is called “American Style” here. And BBQ is called “Texas BBQ” and the chicken flavor is called “French Chicken Flavor.” I’m not quite sure why adding a location to the name is popular here, but apparently it is the thing to do.

I would eat these… why not.. I think that’s funny that they change names to suit the greater population, like do you really think they would mind if the names remained the same, I wonder if it’s something in either the translation or the importing of the product!
