Curious about what a week in the life of an English teacher in China is like? Well head on over to the Professional Hobo to check out my diary! Nora, the woman behind the site, publishes a “Week-in-the-life-of” series and this week that life is mine! I am a big fan of the Professional Hobo as she is a full-time traveler who supports herself with writing (pretty much my dream) and I am very excited to be featured on her site. Thanks Nora!
It is almost perfect timing for the “Week-in-the-life-of” series as I just finished a week long food diary of the different types of Chinese food I eat. Put the two articles together and you basically have my whole life here. Ha ha!
If you are new to my site, then welcome! Please take a look around. Interested in travel? Check out my How to Pack for a Year Abroad article. Curious about some Chinese culture and history? Then check out Leshan’s Giant Buddha. Ever wonder what Tibetan butter tea tastes like? Me too, check out this entry for my review.
And if you like what you see, please feel free to subscribe to the RSS feed or email subscription. Thank you!

You left your comfortable life in the States, eh? From what I’ve been reading, China has been a step up! 😉 Except for the jacket-wearing inside that is.
So go ahead and gan bei it up, spending your wu-shi earnings, but don’t forget to come home!
Discovered you via Nora and so happy to be here! Really enjoyed your food series, GREAT STUFF! Had my mouth watering (but not enough to spit!)
Subscribed , many thanks, keep up the great blogging
Thanks Frank! Glad I didn’t make you spit because I would hate to be the one responsible for bring that little habit to other cultures! 😉
And Cat, yeah your right. Here I’ve got high speed internet, no snow to deal with, and only one 16 hour a week job vs 2 40 hour a week jobs. It is a step up! 🙂
Hello – discovered you on Nora’s blog. Sounds like you’re really loving it over there. I laughed at the organization stories, sounds like you’re learning as much about patience and acceptance as you are about drinking skills!
