They’re nowhere near as bad as some others I’ve seen. Some examples I’ve seen have been quite beautiful, one of them said “Let us grow happily with flowers and grass”. I’m not entirely sure what it intended to say but I like the way it sounds.
I think they’re trying to do away with Chinglish though and I must admit, I can see where they’re coming from. It doesn’t look particularly professional but it does have so much charm. Personally, I’ll miss it. They’ll likely bring in a translation agency, that’s the only way you can guarantee a translation’s accuracy.
Doing a way with Chinglish was a mistake that chinese authorities were bound to make. This is because Chinglish exists throughout Chinese Culture and Society. Chinglish is the only way that Chinese language and English can be intertwined
